General Rules

Requirements

Participants will be divided into two groups, depending on their age:

Youth Group

Pianists of Mexican nationality, foreign residents in Mexico, and pianists from Latin American countries* may participate, with a maximum age of 21 years as of November 27, 2025.

Senior Group

Pianists of Mexican nationality, foreign residents in Mexico, and pianists from Latin American countries* may participate, with a maximum age of 29 years as of November 27, 2025.

* Latin American Countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela.

Required Documents

We will publish our registration portal from May 26, 2025 to June 16, 2025, in which applicants will be able to upload their information and send it to the organizing committee digitally. The portal will close at 11:59 PM on June 16, 2025.

The required documents are the following:

  1. Signed application form with photograph, printed, signed and scanned, or digitally signed. The application will be generated automatically with the data provided by the user in the registration portal.
  2. Scanned birth certificate.
  3. Scanned official identification. Voter ID card (for Mexicans) or the first pages of the passport (for foreigners). (In case of being a minor and not having either a voter ID card or a passport, a sealed school ID or an ID from another institution with a photograph of the person may be used).
  4. Scanned corresponding immigration document - for foreigners residing in Mexico.
  5. Signed and scanned letters of recommendation from two professional pianists who know the applicant's trajectory.
  6. Curriculum vitae in artistic format (limited to 160 words). It must be ready to be included in the competition book, which should contain the most relevant and important information on the following points:
    • Information about your musical studies.
    • Name of the institutions where you have trained as a musician.
    • List of names of teachers who have been instrumental in your piano training.
    • List of awards, recognitions, and distinctions obtained.
  7. Certificate, diploma or proof of musical studies. If the participant has been a winner of any competition, attach scans of the recognitions or diplomas mentioned in the curriculum.
  8. A digital artistic photograph in color and high resolution for the Competition's program.
  9. Scanned or digital proof of payment of the fee for the "Qualification Stage"

    For Mexicans and Residents in Mexico

    Pay the fee of $1,000.00 MXN for the Qualification Stage. The bank account for making the deposit is:

    For participants from Latin America

    Send the amount of $55 USD to the PayPal account soporte@cndepianojjcuevas.com

    An email should be sent informing the organizing committee of the payment so that it can be confirmed within 24 hours.

    It is recommended that payment be made before sending the documentation to be able to attach the proof of payment.

  10. Video files with the corresponding material to be performed, required for the Qualification Stage.
    The files must be uploaded to the Competition's registration portal on the website. The videos must comply with the restrictions that will be established in the portal.

All documentation and video material must be sent through the registration portal by Monday, June 16, 2025.

To facilitate the documentation submission process, the portal will allow information to be uploaded in parts, to be sent when everything is ready.

No documentation or video files uploaded to the registration portal after Monday, June 16, 2025 will be accepted.

* Very important: on the same day of submission, the participant must inform the members of the organizing committee via email at mihail.minkov@outlook.com with a copy to idecheva2002@yahoo.com that they have already uploaded their documentation to the portal.

Once the documentation is received, the Organizing Committee will review it and listen to the recording for the Qualification Stage.

The Organizing Committee will confirm participation in the Competition to the selected candidates no later than Wednesday, July 2, 2025 via email.

Registration Fee

After receiving confirmation of participation, the registration fee must be deposited immediately (by Wednesday, July 9, 2025):

For Mexicans and Residents in Mexico

Pay the participation fee of $2,000.00 MXN. The payment receipt must be scanned and sent by email. The bank account for making the deposit is:
